The Very Quiet Cricket

It started with a little cricket, and he went around and was meeting other bugs. The other bugs kept saying "hi" but the cricket couldn't say anything. The bee said "hi, little cricket" and the cricket still couldn't say anything. He kept wiggling his wings together, but nothing would happen. Then, at the end he got to talk to a friend that looked like him.

My favorite part of this story is when he finally got to talk at the end. I love the picture at the end when the crickets are talking and I love to hear the sound they make. This book made me happy because the sad cricket finally got to talk to a friend.

I think my brother, Patrick, would like this book because he would like the picture of the colorful moth.
