This book is about a girl named Irene who struggled to get her mother's dress to the duchess. Irene did a favor for her mother who was sick. It was hard because there was a lot of snow and the wind was pushing hard on the box that carried the dress. I won't tell you how she gets to the duchess. You should read the book for yourself!
I like Brave Irene because its illustrations explain the story well. I did not like the wind because he was so mean and tried to take away the dress. This book reminds me of snow days when I stay home from school. The lesson in this story is don't give up, just keep trying!
I recommend this book for children who are eight and older. After reading this book, you should think about a time when you were brave. It will make you feel proud!
